The extension tells HeyDock which site is in front, so websites work like apps: they can fit your mode, or blur and ask during Focus. It works in Chrome, Brave, Arc and Edge. Safari isn’t supported yet.
Install it
HeyDock’s welcome has a browser step, and Settings › Permissions › Browser extension › Set Up… starts it any time.
- HeyDock copies
chrome://extensionsand opens your browser. Paste it into the address bar (browsers don’t let other apps open that page). - Turn on Developer mode.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the extension folder HeyDock shows you.
- The step turns green once the extension connects.
What it does
- Reports the active tab’s address and title to HeyDock on your Mac, through a small helper inside HeyDock.app.
- During Focus, an off-mode tab blurs at once; the gate asks after you’ve stayed on it for 1.5 seconds, once per tab. Click the blur to ask again.
- Stay goes back a page and never closes the tab.
Privacy
Only the tab in front of the focused window is reported, and only to HeyDock on your Mac.
