Hold notifications until you switch modes

Let HeyDock hold off-mode messages, choose who and what gets through, and read one digest when you switch. Needs Full Disk Access.

Updated

HeyDock can hold messages from apps that belong to other modes and give you one digest when you get there.

Turn it on

  1. Open Settings › Permissions and click Open Settings… next to Full Disk Access.
  2. Turn HeyDock on in the list.
  3. In System Settings › Notifications, turn banners off for the apps you want held, so macOS doesn’t show them too.

Let the important ones through

In Settings › Dock › Always let through, list names or words, separated by commas. Messages from those people or with those words pop up at once. The default is “urgent, asap”.

The digest

The pill shows a count on the mode messages are waiting for. When you switch to it, a card shows what was held and which ones need you, picked by the on-device model.

Why Full Disk Access?

macOS stores delivered notifications in a database only Full Disk Access can read. HeyDock reads it on your Mac and sends nothing anywhere.
